Stranger Things And Obi-Wan Series Broke Records In The Amount Of Views On Netflix And Disney+.

Two series premiered on streaming services on Friday the 27th of May. Netflix started streaming the first episode of the fourth season of Stranger Things and we could see the first two episodes of the mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. Our reaction to both series is positive. The audience was curious about the series since both of them broke records in the amount of views on respective streaming platforms.

Obi-Wan Kenobi became the most successful series premiere on Disney+ in regard to the amount of streamed hours. Yet, there is a catch. Since Disney is counting the amount of streamed hours, the series has an advantage compared to those shorter than the usual 40-50 minutes. Furthermore, it premiered with two episodes at once. 

Logically, the audience is going to watch more hours of the series which is 1.5 hours long with 2 episodes than of a series which is 30-50 minutes long. Nonetheless, it is a huge success and it is possible that Disney+ will want to use the character of Obi-Wan in a different series due to its popularity.

The forth season of the series Stranger Things has seen great success. Netflix subscribers have seen 286.7 million hours of the new episodes during the first few days after the premiere. It is impossible to count how many people have seen the new episodes, but according to Netflix, it is the biggest premiere of an English-speaking series in the history of Netflix.
