Alexis Crystal is a name that needs no introduction in most cases. One of the most famous Czech porn actresses has been active in this industry for almost 10 years and she's managed to build a very successful career during that time. In this interview, we've discussed why is Czech Republic such a driving force in porn, what's the connection with drugs in this industry and also about her private life.

You started filming when you were 18. That's quite early, right?

It's the legal age for shooting, so it is early. U need a signed contract for every filming and you also gotta provide a proof of identity to confirm you really are 18 years old. Distributing content with underage girls automatically classifies as selling child pornography.

I know I felt awful right after that scene. I wondered what I had done.

How did you get into it?

I got into it by a complete accident. The situation at home wasn't ideal, so I had to get out of the house. It wasn't entirely out of my own will. I was still in school and I had to take care of my own self. I had nobody who could help me financially.

So I lived with a friend. I was looking for a job, so I can contribute to rent, but it wasn't easy to find while I was still studying. I didn't live in Prague, but I studied there, so the commute took some time as well. I found an ad for a nude photoshoot, so I decided to give it a try.

However, the nude photoshoot turned out to be an audition for porn. They gave me a questionnaire with standard questions about height and weight. There was also a multiple choice question "what do you do?" with answers such as "sandwich", so I'm looking at it, thinking what could that possibly be. In the brackets, it said "boy-girl-boy". First I said I won't do any pictures or videos with a boy. The photographer there said there's zero opportunities for solo stuff and that it would be better with a boy, but I refused.

So I've left and I was looking for something else for two weeks. But I couldn't find anything and it didn't feel right at the friends place, because he expected certain things from me and I didn't want to live there. Looking back at it, it might have been the worst time of my life. Two weeks later they've contacted me, offering me a scene with a boy and I didn't know what to do anymore.

They said I'd get 300 EUR cash right after the shoot, which seemed unreal to me at the time. So I gave in, came there and filmed my first scene. I don't even remember what went on in my head, it was more than 9 years ago. But I know I felt awful right after that scene. I wondered what I had done.

Aleš from Czech Casting said in a recent interview that a lot of the girls only realize what had happened after leaving the room

Most definitely. And not just in porn, it probably applies for other people as well, only really realizing what they had done in retrospect. Not only in filming, it's also generally like that with a lot of the mistakes you make in life. You realize you've f*cked something up after it actually happens. I've questioned myself, how could I have done something like that.

Would you change your decision now?

Not anymore, I started to really like the job over the years. It's just work to me, for a lot of people it isn't like that. At the moment, I'd say I don't regret anything, but that's because I'm feeling good by now and I am happy with my life in general. In the future, once I get another job or start a family, I may say that I never should have done it, but right now I'm feeling great. I'm really enjoying my life.

The lifespan of an actress is different in each case, but if I should make an average, it's realistic to be active in filming for about 4 years. But there's a lot of aspects to it.

One of our producers has calculated that you've made about 470 films in those 9 years, which yearly comes up to about 50.

That's nothing, I have done a lot more. But there's a difference between film and a scene. Films are released on DVDs and they're complete pieces including comedy, which is the buildup around the scenes, for it to make sense. There might be 5 scenes in the film. Individual scenes are something else. Czech Casting, for example, is not film. Those are scenes. I've definitely done more than a thousand of those.

Do you think that Czech Republic is a driving force in porn because it's in the center of Europe?

Very interesting question. It must be rooted in history, because porn has a tradition here. Prague is currently doing well, cause we've got loads of gorgeous girls, productions that are based here, wonderful locations that are comparable to Paris, but way cheaper, so a lot of foreign productions like to come shoot here. I know about this one production that rented a whole castle with 30 rooms for a million.

I'm doing 10 to 25 shooting days in a month. But 25 is extreme. That only happens about once a year.

Have you ever played in a parody?

Yeah, I've played Princess Leia in Star Wars. A lot of people are telling me I kinda look like her.

How long is it common to stay active?

The lifespan of an actress is different in each case, but if I should make an average, it's realistic to be active in filming for about 4 years. But there's a lot of aspects to it. Some girls find a boyfriend and don't want to keep doing it. As I'm saying, the lifespan is usually not very long. The girls come and go. Some have a long career, though. They build a name, start making their own content, start their own page, build their own production or modeling agency. You gotta have the ambition to do something. Shooting scenes is one thing, but to have your own production is a whole another story. It's a lot of trouble, you gotta really stick with it and be willing to work hard on it.

Would you like to continue in this direction yourself?

I'm already making my own content, but I don't think I'd like to start my own production.

If you would live on a budget, could you make all the money by the time you're 30 and then just chill?

If I wouldn't splurge after 30, then probably yes.

I must have about 100 sets of lingerie.

How many scenes can you do monthly?

I'm doing 10 to 25 shooting days in a month. But 25 is extreme. That only happens about once a year that things pile up into one month. I can be really ecstatic when the last day arrives and some time off is coming up. I don't even have to do anything. All I need is to get up at 11, work out, eat with friends, go home, chill with some Netflix series in the evening and I'm good. Because during those 25 days, all I do is rearrange my suitcase and exchange garments over and over. Then I'm happy to just go to the gym, work out in peace, have some food and I'm perfectly happy. Those 25 days are extreme.

So the clothes you wear are yours? Aren't there stylists on set?

Everything is mine. Some productions do have stylists, but they rarely have clothes. The productions that have their own studio for shooting usually have some attire there, but I usually get a text that includes the address and what I should bring to wear. If they want something really specific, like latex or Snoopy pants, I'd just say I ain't got that. But I do have a lingerie fetish. Not that it arouses me, but I just love shopping for it. Last time I checked, I  had 68 matching sets of bras and panties, but I've bought at least 20 more since then. So I must have about 100 sets of lingerie.

It's probably not a cheap hobby, right?

If I had to guess, it could be around €4000 or €5000. But I've been collecting it for quite some time. I buy one set, use it for a shoot and then I forget about it and take the one I've bought later. Sometimes I notice that some of them still have price tags on, I've never actually worn them.

Do you enjoy matching your underwear in real life as well, or is the shopping part most of the fun for you?

No, no, I never wear a bra. Basically, not at all. I can't remember when was the last time I've worn a bra outside. If I go for an evening date, I like to wear nice lingerie. Then I wear the whole set, including the bra, stockings and a suspender belt.

What is the shooting process like? How long does it take to start shooting from the moment of your arrival on set?

I arrive and I get my makeup done first. The exact duration depends on the production. If you check Brazzers out, it's a very specific style of shooting with strong makeup, fake lashes and they shoot with a wide angle lense. That's why the dick looks the way it does. It's usually not that big when you see it live. One of dem did have 30 centimeters, though.

I had a boyfriend for 6 years and he wasn't comfortable with my job. Then I started seeing someone else who tolerated my work more.

Was he black or white?

He was Spanish.

That's not so nice anymore, though, right?

Depends on the position. If you choose the right position, it can be good.

Are you dating someone now?

No, I'm super single. Not dating anyone right now.

I might have sex at work, but it's not the kind of sex I want to have with someone I'm attracted to, someone I like.

When you are dating someone, how does it mingle with your industry? Are boys willing to understand it?

I had a boyfriend for 6 years and he wasn't comfortable with my job. Then I started seeing someone else who tolerated my work more. I've never told him too many details, though. He supported me and told me to do my thing. I don't know what he must've felt like, because I've never been in that position myself. I've never dated anyone in the business, so I don't know what it's like.

When it's set up like this, would it be cool for him to sleep with another girl? There is a difference, ain't it?

For me, definitely. A lot of people could say that if I'm filming porn scenes, why couldn't he sleep with anyone anywhere? But for me the main difference is that even though I might have sex at work, it's not the kind of sex I want to have with someone I'm attracted to, someone I like. It's an artistic piece, basically, that I have to perform with anyone that I'm paired with.

Sex, that I have at home is sex that I want to have with someone I'm attracted to and I enjoy it in a completely different way. It's about something else. And for the most part, I've been doing it for a very long time so it's all sorted out in my head and totally separated. If he'd sleep with some other girls, he'd do it because he wants to, but I don't do the work because I want to have sex with someone. I like the entire industry.

For example, first thing after landing somewhere at 7AM, you don't feel like having sex. Sex is the last thing you'd think about. Also, you don't want to do it on a staircase. Once I've shot a scene there and my back was completely purple. We were on a spiral staircase and I was supposed to lay down the stairs in missionary position, holding my legs up on top of all that. So I had three stairs dug into my spine.

You can't possibly enjoy that, because it hurts as hell. And the whole scene was on those stairs. Once we moved on to a doggie scene, my knees were purple. When I have sex with someone I choose, I won't let this happen. I enjoy what feels good at the moment. It's a major difference, but I get that it's hard to understand for people who aren't in it.  It might be impossible to understand, if you don't know how it works and you're not experiencing it yourself. It's also not easy to explain and I admit that it must be difficult to be in a relationship with me.

I got on Tinder because I like it when a boy recognizes me without knowing that I'm a porn actress.

It also ain't easy to date loads of people that aren't even in the porn industry

Work aside, I'm sweet, though.

So when you go on a date with a boy and it works out, does it ever happen that he thinks he can go wild as if it was porn?

I do like to show off as well. Of course not when he tries to put me on the stairs after seeing me do that in a scene, but that never happened to me before. I used to have a Tinder account that got blocked four times…

I know, we've matched there…

Really? That's incredible. Those bastards block it for me and I lose the opportunity for such a great date. I got on Tinder because I like it when a boy recognizes me without knowing that I'm a porn actress. Last time I did it under my real name and got blocked within 15 hours.

What do you do in order to get your Tinder blocked?

No idea, I didn't have any explicit photos there, some panties shots, but that's it. And you can't even send pics on there. If I'd be sending pictures of my vagina, I'd get why they block me, but why would I do that. (laughs) I think it was because a lot of people thought I was fake, so they reported me.

So how do you meet people?

Wherever I'm at, in the moment. Some people also text me on Instagram, but I'm not able to respond to all of them. I would have to hire 5 people to do it for me.

Dick pics flying in all over?

Yeah, sometimes. But it's really rough sometimes. Like a picture of a totally hairy cock, dude sitting on a toilet with his legs spread out and the thing was just hangin' there. That was disgusting. Boys, keep sending me your artistic pictures, but the toilet kind is really gross.

Filming can be mentally demanding for a lot of people in this business and it is rumored that there's often drugs involved.Do you think it's more common than in the normal world?

No, I don't think so. I think people that do this kind of work might like to enjoy something every now and then, however a proper addict can't do the job. Once you're not reliable to show up, you're good for nothing. Some productions only give you one chance. As soon as you fail to show up a few times, you're done shooting and stuck with a reputation of being unreliable. People won't want to work with you. But it's the same as everywhere, when it comes to drugs. There's people that like to take something, but in my 9 years it never happened that someone would pull out drugs in front of me during a production. They're either careful and make sure I don't see it (laughs), or it just doesn't happen during filming.

I still feel like a child, sort of, and I'm not ready to raise my own kids yet. I want to stop filming before I start a family.

It might be harder for boys, since they must show up with an erection. How do they go about that?

Viagra.

Can't it mess the man up from a long term perspective? Is he then still able to sleep with girls without it?

I think so, yes. But it depends if the girl turns you on, how you feel around her. I'm not sure what viagra is made of, so I have no idea what the long-term effects are.

You're part of Vixen, that's a quite high-end production, right?

It is, because they do high-class porn, it looks perfect and they spend a whole lot of money on the location, the scene and they're willing to pay the girl more money than usual. The scene also takes a long time. Once I've filmed all day and there was a lot of comedy around it. For example me playing tennis, or laying by the pool. In porn terminology, comedy is an expression for all of the buildup around sex. That's an internationally accepted term for it. And it's usually more comical than dramatic. If the start was dramatic, you wouldn't be likely to feel like jerking off with the rest.

Are you planning to have kids?

Yeah, absolutely. But I still have time for that. I'm 27 and I don't want to rush anything. I still feel like a child, sort of, and I'm not ready to raise my own kids yet. I want to stop filming before I start a family.

But the past will always be there. Did you ever talk to your colleagues about how the confrontation goes down when you have to explain yourself?

No, I didn't think about that. It's something I don't want to think about.

Who's your inspiration in porn? Did you follow some actresses before you started shooting yourself?

No, not at all. I watched, but as soon as I started shooting, I didn't even know the names of the actresses. There is a few American girls of my generation whose style I really like. For example Adriana Chechik and Megan Love. I wasn't planning a career in my early beginnings, so I wasn't really looking up to anyone, or checking out how they go about doing it.

Adriana Chechik squirts a lot. Is it real or is it a porn trick?

Well…

Magicians secret?

Let's say it's one of those things you don't give away. (laughs)
