Goalkeeper Bára Votíková Joins Arsenal on Loan from Slavia

SPORT

Czech goalkeeper Bára Votíková is set to join the prestigious English club Arsenal on loan from her home team, Prague's Slavia, for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season.

Bára kicked off her professional career in 2013 with Viktoria Plzeň, then moved to Slavia Prague, where she helped win the Czech league and a Czech Cup. She spent two seasons with PSG in France, snagging a French Cup win, and later joined England’s Tottenham Hotspur, before heading back to Slavia in 2024. So, this isn’t her first rodeo in England. She’s also racked up 56 games for the Czech national team.

Back to England Again

Her announcement about wearing number 13 for Arsenal was posted on Instagram. “It feels amazing to join this special club,” said Bára in the club’s official statement. “Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a special team and special fans, so it’s a huge honor to come here. Playing at Emirates Stadium has been a dream of mine, and I can’t wait to get started,” the goalkeeper shared.
