The first trailer for the new Spider-Man brings a dose of action and excitement. Fans can look forward to seeing many familiar characters.
Sony and Marvel have just dropped the first trailer for the highly anticipated movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Alongside Spider-Man, you'll see Punisher (John Bernthal) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) popping up in the trailer.
This trailer teases a new chapter for Peter Parker, giving us a glimpse of both familiar and new foes, allies, and some surprising changes in his powers.
What's the story about?
The new film's plot is set four years after the events of the last installment, No Way Home. “Peter Parker is trying to focus on his studies and leave Spider-Man behind. But when a new threat endangers his friends, he must break his promise, suit up again, and team up with an unexpected ally to protect those he loves,” according to the synopsis.
The trailer delivers some intriguing moments worth paying attention to. Right at the start, we see Peter hanging upside down during a phone call, an obvious nod to the iconic scenes from the animated Spider-Verse movies. Eman Esfandi appears at MJ’s apartment party as her new partner.
Fans are already speculating that he might be the MCU version of the well-known Watson friend, Paul. At the end of the trailer, sharp-eyed fans noticed Peter's eyes turning completely black. What causes this is still unclear, reports Screenrant.com.
This new Spider-Man installment is directed by the acclaimed Destin Daniel Cretton. Tom Holland and Zendaya are back as Peter Parker and MJ, and Sadie Sink, who you might recognize from Stranger Things, is joining the cast, though details about her character are still under wraps. The film will hit Slovak cinemas on July 30th.
