American singer and rapper Doja Cat openly revealed that she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. In a candid video on social media, she explained how the disorder affects her life and why she decided to share her experiences.

According to Billboard, it's a diagnosis she's been dealing with for a long time, significantly impacting her life and mental health. In a video she posted, Doja Cat opened up about experiencing the disorder's symptoms for quite a while, often trying to hide her true feelings.

She mentioned that in the past, she often “pretended to be okay” to mimic a normal state, but ultimately, it backfired. According to her, the disorder “surfaced” and became difficult to manage.

Borderline personality disorder is characterized by sudden mood swings, impulsive behavior, unstable relationships, and a distorted self-image. These symptoms can make everyday functioning and relationships with others challenging.

Doja Cat shared that she’s been going to therapy for years, trying to better understand her emotions and find healthier ways to work through them. According to her, it’s a process that requires time, patience, and honesty with yourself.

The singer emphasized that sharing her experience isn’t just about her; it can help raise awareness about mental health and support people going through similar struggles.
