If Jake Paul decided to run, he has “full and unconditional support” from the U.S. President.
President Donald Trump made a splash at a political rally in Kentucky by inviting influencer and boxer Jake Paul to the stage. During his speech, Trump hinted that Jake might have a future in politics.
Trump praised Paul during his appearance, suggesting he could be a political candidate. “I’m predicting that in the not-too-distant future, you’ll run for political office,” Trump literally said. “You have my complete and total endorsement,” he added.
According to USA Today, the former president mentioned he knows Paul from his podcast. He admitted hesitating initially when invited to be on the show as a president, but eventually appreciated Jake’s project. “His podcast is a big deal, and he is a big deal,” Trump said. “This guy has guts.” Jake has already shared clips from the show’s recording with Trump.
Jake Paul also took the stage and in a short speech, mentioned that Trump taught him about the value of courage and standing by one’s beliefs. He stressed that it’s important to “never back down from a fight”.
He wrapped up his speech with words of faith and support for Trump. “I know God is with us. I know he wants us to be on the right side of history, and every one of us needs to do our part,” Paul said. He also added: “God’s got us. Trump's got us. God bless.”
