Series director Eric Appel took it upon himself to make a biographical film about a satiric musician Al Yankovic, nicknamed Weird Al. He was also famous for impersonating the famous, such as Eminem, Michael Jackson or Madonna, informs Screenrant.

The character of Al Yankovic is played by Daniel Radcliffe, whose version of the famous Madonna song Like a Virgin you'll be able to see in the first trailer for Weird: The Al Yankovic. It took 18 days to make the film, during which Radcliffe had Al Yankovic by his side to learn from him. He described the experience as "mad". 

The trailer leaves a fun impression and not only shows Daniel Radcliffe on stage but also in private. The talented Evan Rachel Wood will play the pop queen Madonna and James Preston Rogers will star as the wrestler Hulk Hogan. 

The biographical picture shows actors such as Julianne Nicholson, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss and others. Apart from the director Eric Appel, the script was also written by Weird Al Yankovic himself. The film will be streamed on The Roku Channel. The date of the streaming premiere is not yet known.
