Forbes has released its annual list of the highest-paid actors and actresses in Hollywood.
This year's results showed an interesting twist. The total earnings of the top twenty highest-paid stars dropped by 20% to $590 million, compared to last year's $730 million.
Adam Sandler took the top spot with $48 million, thanks to his long-term deal with Netflix that guarantees him high earnings regardless of his films' box office performance. The drop in actors' earnings is highlighted by the fact that Sandler's $48 million didn't come close to last year's leader, Dwayne Johnson, who made $88 million.
An intriguing highlight is the success of 22-year-old Millie Bobby Brown, known from the series Stranger Things. She made history as the youngest actress ever to appear on Forbes' list of highest-paid actors, not just in the top ten.
