On the eve of the Oscars, another grand ceremony takes place annually—the one awarding the worst movies of the year: the Golden Raspberries.
This year, the 46th edition of the Golden Raspberry Awards was dominated by the sci-fi film War of the Worlds from Prime Video, which snagged five anti-awards, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.
Ice Cube was named Worst Actor for his lead role in War of the Worlds, beating out Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye for Hurry Up Tomorrow, Dave Bautista for In the Lost Lands, Scott Eastwood for Alarum, and Jared Leto for Tron: Ares.
Another big loser of the night was the Disney live-action remake of Snow White. The jury cleverly answered the question of who deserves the Worst Supporting Performance prize by awarding all seven CGI dwarfs at once. They also “won” in the Worst On-Screen Combo category.
Rebel Wilson took home the Worst Actress award for the action-comedy Bridesmaid Beware!
The Redeemer Award went to Kate Hudson, who also snagged an Oscar nomination this year. Hudson, who has previously been up for several Razzies for romantic comedies, was recognized for her standout acting comeback.
