On the shores of Lake Kownatki in the tranquil nature of the Masurian region, the studio Archmondo has designed a model weekend house that sets a new bar for luxury leisure architecture in Poland.
The Kownatki Lake House development will offer, in its first phase, 20 homes that blend modern looks, comfort, and the vibe of nature, with a living area ranging from 90 to 110 square meters. The plots range from 1,200 to 2,000 square meters.
The designed homes, including the show house, are spacious. They have 4 separate bedrooms offering privacy, a bathroom, and a living room with a double-height ceiling connected to the kitchen and dining area. A staircase leads to an open gallery that can serve as an office or a play area for kids.
The look is inspired by the traditional architecture of the region – a house with a classic pitched roof on a simple rectangular footprint, which the team of architects around Piotr Kowalczyk interprets in a modern way.
The construction is made of ventilated composite aluminum, while the facade is of charred Siberian larch treated with the Japanese technique Shou Sugi Ban, giving the wood a striking texture and exceptional durability.
The interior is minimalist – architects used a neutral color palette, natural materials, and large glass panels that seamlessly connect the inside with the garden and forest around. The result is a feast for the eyes.
The leisure residential complex by the lake is not only engaging with its architecture but also with its lifestyle concept – 14 hectares dedicated to communal green areas, a private beach, piers, sports fields, and playgrounds. A restaurant and wellness zone are also in the plans.
Kownatki Lake House is a perfect example of how modern architecture can respect tradition and nature while offering superior comfort. It’s a unique place where every detail creates a perfect feeling of peace and home. The architects from the Archmondo studio have done a stellar job that could inspire other developers as well.
