A24's latest film promises an emotional, psychologically tense ride about love, doubts, and decisions at the most fragile moment.
We've already written about the movie The Drama, starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. A24 has now dropped a trailer hinting at a major twist in their seemingly perfect relationship just before the wedding, uncovered by the main character’s big secret.
According to Variety, Zendaya plays Emma, who works in a bookstore, while Pattinson's character, Charlie, is the director of the British Museum. The story follows their relationship as it starts to fall apart at a time when they should only be dealing with the final wedding details. Instead of romance, tension, doubts, and the question of whether their love can survive the pressure hit them at the most sensitive moment.
The film is directed by Kristoffer Borgli. It's his return to A24 after the success of the 2023 film To se mi snad zdá, which earned Nicolas Cage a Golden Globe nomination. The Drama marks his fourth directorial effort.
The Czech premiere is set for April 2, 2026. It's also interesting that both Zendaya and Robert Pattinson will appear in multiple big projects this year—they'll be in Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey and the next installment of the Dune series.
