Justin Bieber Is Coming Back On Stage. His Paralysis Is Retreating.

Singer Justin Bieber is returning to the tour he stopped five weeks ago due to a serious illness. The series of concerts across the globe will resume from July 31, the pop singer's team has now officially confirmed to Variety.

Bieber had originally planned to play 75 stops on the tour, but postponed dozens due to the facial paralysis known as Ramsay-Hunt syndrome. So the spectacular return to the world stage will continue at the Lucca summer festival in Italy. Other European fans, including those attending Hungary's Sziget festival, will also see Justin Bieber perform in August. This will be followed by stops in South America, South Africa, as well as Asia and Australia.

In particular, Justin Bieber has cancelled stops in North America that have yet to have a new date. As part of his busy schedule, the singer will be able to make up for his absence to fans in the spring at the earliest.

The singer was diagnosed with a serious illness back in mid-June, when he uploaded an explanatory video to his Instagram profile about how half of his face was paralyzed. "As you can see, this eye doesn't blink at all. I can't smile on this side of my face. So on this side I'm completely paralyzed. It's pretty serious, as you can see. I wish it weren't, but of course my body is telling me I need to slow down. I hope you understand that," he said in a three-minute video on the social network.

The disease, called Ramsay-Hunt syndrome, is caused by the shingles virus, which attacks the facial nerve. In addition to acute pain, it can be accompanied by paralysis of the facial muscles and hearing loss in the affected ear. The inability to blink causes pain in the eye and blurred vision. In most cases, the symptoms are only temporary. Justin Bieber's treatment worked, according to Variety.
