Metallica Reacted To Their Song Being Used In The Stranger Things Series Finale.

After the series sent the singer Kate Bush to the top of the charts, the last episode of Stranger Things season 4 brought another rediscovered musical killing in the form of an 8-minute long metal classic by Metallica from the 80s - the song Master of Puppets. The band reacted to their song being used in the show finale, informs Variety server. 

In the season 4 finale, „The Piggyback“, the character of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) plays the song Master of Puppets - released in 1986, when the season is taking place - to divert the attention of demonic bats protecting the lair of the main villain Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). The creators of the series Duffer Brothers wrote the song into the screenplay during pre-production, after which the series supervisor Nora Felder received permission from the band to use it. 

 The band has shared the final scenes on their Instagram. In the caption, Metallica expressed their adulation and support for the use of the music in the series and also their delight that their song accompanied such an unforgettable scene. Their admiration was also directed at Quinn who played the guitar. "The way in which Duffer Brothers made the music a part of Stranger Things was always next level so we were delighter that the show not only included "Master of Puppets" but also that the song was a part of such a key scene," says the band in their post .

„We were all delighter when we saw the final results, we were all so taken away.. it is extremely well done, so much that some people were able to guess the song only by seeing Joseph Quinn's hand in the trailer for a few seconds! How insanely cool is that?“
