On Friday the 4th of July, the fourth season of a beloved American sci-fi series Stranger Things which you can watch on Netflix has ended.
According to Collider, the creators of the series - the Duffer brothers - have revealed when they will start working on the last, fifth season and also excited all Stranger Things fans when they shortly touched upon what we can expect from the plot and which characters will get more space.
The Duffer brothers said that they will start making the season 5 screenplay at the beginning of August, while the 5th season will be shorter than the previous one. "We will take a small vacation in July," said Ross Duffer. The duo know how they want to end the whole series and they have a good feeling about the ending.
The creators did not avoid questions about the fate of Will (Noah Schnapp). The audience has speculated about his sexual orientation and in the last two episodes of season 4, the dialogues and suggestive performance of the just 17-year old actor, they have only increased the speculations that Will is gay. However, they have not revealed this directly in the interview and they have only praised Schnapp's acting skills.
The brothers have stated that Will will have a lot of space in the final season. According to Ross Duffer, the time has come to go back to the start - to the first season. There, the plot centered around Will's character, since everything began with his "abduction" and subsequent search. The creators have also revealed that we will finally see the resolution of the ever so complicated love triangle between Steve, Nancy and Jonathan. During the fourth season, we saw multiple signs that the old couple will get together again.
