He claims that he didn't give the White House consent to use it.
Famous actor Ben Stiller called out the White House for using a clip from the movie Tropic Thunder in a social media video. The video featured a mash-up of scenes from various films and series, like Top Gun, Superman, Transformers, and Breaking Bad, which were mixed with footage of American military operations. The post was captioned: “Justice the American way”, as reported by People.
Stiller took to platform X, urging the White House to remove the clip. “We never gave you permission and we have no interest in being part of your propaganda. War is not a movie,” he wrote.

Other artists have reacted similarly in the past. For example, singer Kesha criticized the use of her song Blow in a video with footage of a military attack. “Trying to downplay war is disgusting and inhumane,” she stated, adding that she does not agree with her music being used to support violence.
Singer Sabrina Carpenter also voiced criticism when the White House used her track Juno in a video about immigration enforcement. Following her response, the video was removed from platform X.
