6 reasons to love NYFW.
After 67 fashion houses and designers showcased their new Fall/Winter 2026 collections in Paris in January, which we highlighted in our article, everyone's attention turned to New York Fashion Week in February.
In the East Coast metropolis of the United States, seasonal highlights for both men and women were revealed by famous names as well as rising stars you'll definitely want to keep an eye on.
Below, we've picked the 6 most exciting shows from NYFW that blew us away. From popular brands like Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch to Moncler Grenoble, whose pieces debuted in snowy Aspen instead of New York, there was a lot to see.
Collections from brands like Carolina Herrera, Proenza Schouler, and Altuzarra didn’t make our top list, but they were also visual treats.
Moncler Grenoble
Kicking off our list is Moncler Grenoble with their Fall/Winter 2026 collection, introduced in the iconic ski resort Aspen, Colorado. Although the snow-covered show wasn’t part of NYFW, it definitely deserves your attention.
This marked Moncler Grenoble’s first American showcase, and it was amazing.
Featuring both men's and women's pieces, the collection is built on the brand’s heritage and is inspired by Western culture. It blends top-notch sports functionality with alpine aesthetics, introducing a new age of "quiet luxury" both on and off the slopes.
On the snow-covered runway, we saw nearly 100 mountain-ready silhouettes—from technical ski jackets and suits designed for extreme conditions to quilted coats with fringes, flannel shirts, corduroy pants, and thick caps.
If you’re seeking a balance between outdoor performance and modern high-fashion winter aesthetics, you're in for a treat. Check out this quick preview of the Moncler Grenoble show.
Ralph Lauren
After surprising us with a new men's collection at Milan Fashion Week, Ralph Lauren stayed on home turf this time, showcasing his vision of women's fashion for Fall/Winter 2026 at NYFW, inspired by rebellious spirit and women’s confidence.
Lauren and his team honor timeless apparel and accessories from the past while reimagining them for today. Their style isn't tied to any era—it's enduring.
Each piece has its roots in traditional American aesthetics, inspired by strong, confident women who adapt the clothes to their own stories and styles—not swayed by fleeting seasonal trends. Key features include rich textures, layering, and contrasts.
The color palette centers around earthy and neutral tones with black, highlighting the luxurious materials and refined cuts. The silhouettes emphasize femininity and elegance, complemented by iconic riding boots, striking belts, and vintage-style bags.

Tory Burch
One of the best moments at NYFW was the show by designer Tory Burch, offering vintage elegance with a modern twist—similar to Ralph Lauren.
For the Fall/Winter 2026 collection, Burch looked at fashion through the lens of longevity, taking inspiration from personal memories and the aesthetic of garden designer Bunny Mellon.
The result is a collection that combines classic American clothing with sleek, sophisticated details. It includes longer coats with gold buttons, wool sweaters with hand-embroidered details, refined suits, blazers, wide-legged trousers, and luxe-feeling accessories.
Color schemes balance between neutral hues and bolder tones like tangerine and olive green, while accessories—from sardine brooches to woven basket bags—bring unexpected playfulness to the collection. The overall vibe is wearable, thoughtful, and highlights intuitive dressing for the modern urban woman who values quality and timelessness.

Calvin Klein Collection
The New York Fall/Winter 2026 show of the Calvin Klein Collection by designer Veronica Leoni also made us sit up and pay attention with its minimalism, timelessness, and refined cuts.
Hailing from Italy and serving as Calvin Klein Collection’s creative director since 2024, Leoni found inspiration for the collection in the brand's standout era at the turn of the 70s and 80s, reinterpreted with a modern minimalist twist focusing on body awareness and empowerment.
Clean lines, precise cuts, and neutral shades like black, grey, cream, dark brown, and burgundy dominated the runway. Favorite elements like oversized coats, elegant shoes, suits with prominent shoulders, and shirts were interwoven with “underwear-as-outerwear” elements and trademark denim.
The new seasonal models express elegance with modern minimalism, celebrating Calvin Klein's heritage while appealing to today's fashion aficionados. This is how we envision business and casual style for 2026.

Ulla Johnson
Designer Ulla Johnson, who’s been on the fashion scene for almost 25 years, also wowed us with a beautiful women's ready-to-wear collection for Fall/Winter 2026 introduced in New York.
The new lineup reflects the current creative identity of the Manhattan-based brand—rich, colorful, and texturally layered, yet deeply personal.
Designer Johanna Johnson decided to engage emotions through contrasting pairs—dense materials combine with feminine details and robust silhouettes contrast with airy forms. The palette spans from deep emerald, olive green, and red to soft pinks and metallic accents, deliberately contrasting with the universal neutrals dominating the NYFW runways.
Some styling details, like the combination of opera gloves and high socks, are intentionally unorthodox, creating a sense of unfinished authenticity. The collection is a testament to Johnson's dedication to craftsmanship, color, and femininity—clothing with strong emotional appeal.

Khaite
The last ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2026 collection that caught our eye at NYFW comes from brand Khaite and boasts a distinctive, confident style.
Khaite’s creative director, Catherine Holstein, reaffirmed her position as one of the most exciting voices at New York Fashion Week with an aesthetically refined and dramatic display of contemporary femininity.
The new seasonal collection embodies contrasts between softness and sharpness, minimalism and bold silhouette, romance and power dressing—one of the HOT trends.
Dominant is the dark, almost gothic palette with black and piercing grey shades, which underscored the runway scenery and overall show atmosphere before a discerning New York audience. Leather pieces—from tight-fitting trousers to sturdy jackets—mixed with lace and delicate "nightgown" style dresses, creating a dialogue between rawness and fragility.
We also saw structured military coats with sharp shoulders, bustled skirts, and romantic details like flowers attached to lapels or gentle lace elements. Holstein didn’t forget about accessories—dramatic shoes with suggested "wrinkled" shapes and sturdy metal chains amplified the dramatic flair of the designs, setting the stage for trends that will influence women's wardrobes in 2026.
