The creators have shown the screenplay in the Warner Bros studio.
Lady Gaga could appear in the sequel to the movie Joker with Joaquin Phoenix, starring as Harley Quinn. The singer and actress could go crazy in Joker because according to leaked information, the movie could become a musical.
The director Todd Phillips is already working on the second part, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, he is helping Scott Silver to write the screenplay. The screenplay is currently in a version finalized enough to be shown to the Warner Bros studio.

The name of the sequel should be Joker: Folie à deux, so fans can expect mental health problems not only of the main character, but most likely of two characters.
If an agreement is reached, Lady Gaga should become Joker's mate in the role of Harley Quinn. However, it will not be the same Harley Quinn as Margot Robbie in the movie Suicide Squad. According to the creators, the worlds are not identical so both characters are different.
