Several powerful rulers and wizards are interested in Ciri
At the end of March, the creators of The Witcher series began filming the 3rd season. It didn't take long for the fans to get the first photo from the set, which shows Anya Chalotra (Yennefer), Freyu Allan (Ciri) and Henry Cavill (Geralt) sitting by a frozen lake, side by side with the crew.
Netflix also offered viewers the first synopsis of the new season, which is, unfortunately, relatively vague. Ciri finds herself in danger because of her recently acquired skills. As kings, ambitious magicians and various monsters follow her, Geralt and Yenna try to protect her.
Together, they travel to Aretuza in hopes of finding out how to master her abilities at the academy. Instead, betrayal awaits them. The question remains, for how long will the screenwriters remain faithful to the book, or who will ultimately become the main villain.
The fact that they are not afraid to fundamentally alter some key characters, is something we have seen with the sorcerer Eskel. The character is familiar especially to fans of the game series The Witcher, from the CD Projekt Red studio, which, by the way, is working on a completely new saga, where we may also see a new academy.
