The official poster for the new season of Euphoria has divided fans. Some complain it has lost its charm.
HBO just dropped the first poster for the third season of Euphoria, but fans aren't exactly feeling it. A lot of people are bummed that it looks completely different from the others, writes Hauterfly.
The poster features Zendaya as Rue front and center, along with familiar faces like Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer. It's supposed to hint at a more mature storyline, but the design is rubbing some people the wrong way.
Many are saying that the new design feels too basic and lacks the vibe they’re used to. Previous posters were more artistic and “dream-like,” while this one seems a bit unfinished. Some even compared it to the aesthetics of the GTA video game.
Of course, there are folks who dig the new style, but the negative vibes are currently way louder. On Reddit, some have even said it looks like a poster for the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
The show itself is promising big things. Besides the return of the OG cast, we’re seeing new names like Sharon Stone, Rosalía, and Natasha Lyonne join the mix. Plus, Hans Zimmer is handling the music, so yeah, it’s gonna be epic.
Director and writer Sam Levinson is promising the third season will be the darkest and most mature yet. Characters won't be sheltered by the school setting anymore and will face the consequences of their choices. The new season hits screens on April 12 on HBO Max.
