Až tretina Gen Z mužov verí, že ženy by ich mali „poslúchať“. Nová štúdia prichádza s desivými zisteniami

Najnovšia globálna štúdia, zverejnená tesne pred Medzinárodným dňom žien, prináša alarmujúce zistenia.

Gen Z may love rewriting the rulebook, but a study from the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership shows that the patriarchy is unexpectedly making a comeback in their relationships.

Surveying 23,000 people across 29 countries revealed a surprising fact: a whopping 31% of millennial-born men believe that a wife should always obey her husband. Plus, a third of them feel entitled to the final say in important decisions, according to Unilad.

Young men are also getting tangled in their own contradictory demands. A striking 24% don’t want women to appear “too independent and self-sufficient”, and one-fifth think that initiating sex should be solely up to men. The irony? 41% of the same respondents find women with successful careers more attractive.

Simply put: they want a fierce, successful manager who turns into a submissive ’50s housewife at home. Unsurprisingly, young women aren’t on board with this nostalgia. Only a meager 18% of them agree with the idea of “obedience.”

Professor Heejung Chung explains this step back as a result of immense pressure to live up to rigid ideals of masculinity. Young men feel society expects them to have a “strong masculine presence.”
