The Simpsons Allegedly Predicted the Future Again: This Time, It's Epstein's Island

MOVIES & SERIES

The internet is buzzing over an old episode of The Simpsons. Fans claim that the show hinted at Jeffrey Epstein's private island back in 2000.

The Simpsons have a rep online as the show that "predicts everything." Whenever a big scandal breaks, people instantly start digging through old episodes, looking for any similarities to real life.

The latest theory connects to an episode from season 12, where Homer Simpson goes by the alias Mr. X and runs a gossip website. One fictional headline mentions "crazy weirdos on some island secretly running the world." Today, folks on social media are linking this line to Epstein's island, as reported by the Hindustan Times.

Fans see it as another example of The Simpsons "hinting" at something way before Epstein's case hit the public eye.

The thing is, the whole joke in the episode is that Homer is just making everything up. The plot is a parody of gossip sites that spread outrageous lies just to grab attention.

The narrative also got mixed in with newly released Epstein files, which mention The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening. The docs have no criminal allegations against Groening; his name shows up more for associations rather than any criminal activity.

The Simpsons creators have long denied such theories. To them, it's not about predicting the future; it's just coincidence.
