The new campaign of the Leofoo Village theme park in Taiwan promises discounted tickets and other benefits to visitors who come dressed in a school uniform with a miniskirt. The campaign sparked a wave of outrage. Critics complain that this decision objectifies women. The report was brought by the Insider portal.

Every visitor whose skirt ends ten centimeters above the knees will receive, in addition to discounted tickets, a free photo shoot. According to the Taiwanese Central News Agency, this is a significant reduction from $ 999 (USD 34) to $ 500 (USD 17).

"There is something obscene about it," writes one of the critics on the Internet forum. Wu Tzu-ying, executive secretary of the non-profit group Modern Women's Foundation, thinks that visitors may have concerns about their privacy in relation to this campaign, such as that people will be able to see under their skirts in the photos.

The rule is that the skirt must end 10 centimeters above the knees. The park did not state any restrictions regarding gender or age, so men can also get a discount - as long as they come in a skirt.

Leofoo Village did not respond to Insider's request for a statement. This event in the park lasts until August 31.
