On Friday, it was exactly 100 days from the start of the invasion of Ukraine. During the war, the Russian army destroyed 370 sites of Ukrainian cultural heritage. This was said by the Ukrainian Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko at the briefing at Media Center Ukraine, informs Ukrinform.

"We keep records of cultural monuments that were damaged or destroyed during the war. We verify these data on the website of the ministry. Similarly, we are now calculating how we can determine actual financial losses from the destruction of our monuments. I would like to say that almost half of these 370 cultural monuments are churches of various denominations. In fact, when the Russians destroy Ukrainian heritage, they don't care whether these are their [spiritual sites] or not, they just destroy them," said Tkachenko.

One of the destroyed monuments is, for example, the National Literary Monument and the Museum of the Writer and Philosopher ofHryhorii Skovoroda in the town of Skovorodynivka. The Skovoroda Museum was destroyed in a fire caused by the Russian missile attack on May 7th.

Tkachenko reminded that the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and the Regional State Administration Kharkov opened a fund for the renewal of the museum in the Skovorodynivka.
