Joker: Folie à Deux will premiere on October 4, 2024, announced Warner Bros. According to Variety, the premiere date is exactly 5 years after the premiere of the first film, and we will once again enjoy Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role.

The creators have already decided that the film will be a musical, and alongside Phoenix, Oscar winner Lady Gaga will shine in the role of Harley Quinn. A continuation of the Joker was not originally planned, but the billion-dollar global success and the Oscar for the best male lead convinced the creators that the sequel has a chance to star. Director Todd Phillips is working on the second part of the popular film from 2019. He is collaborating with Scott Silver on the screenplay.
