Bleached, shaved, thin, decorated with rhinestones. The eyebrow trend is changing after more than a decade. It looks like this not only on the catwalks, but also on the red carpet and glossy photos of female influencers.

The last time Kylie Jenner showed off her almost invisible eyebrows was during Paris Fashion Week. At the Coperni show, her eyebrows caused at least as much trouble as her outfit.

Naturally, she also added other photos with her new eyebrows to her Instagram. She showed her new look only a month after Kim Kardashian starred on the cover of Interview magazine with blonde eyebrows. We have also seen Kendall Jenner with blonde eyebrows in the past, which means that the rest of the influencer clan will probably jump on the trend soon.

However, celebrities are changing not just the colour of their eyebrows: after more than ten years of the imaginary rule of thick and defined eyebrows, it seems that thin, often newly drawn, eyebrows have taken the throne again. Decorate them with rhinestones, outline them with colored lines, add piercings or other decorations.

Thick, defined, natural brows? Boring!

Defined, thick, detailed brows were a strong trend, which was also noticed by more non-white women. In addition, during the past decade, brands focused on eyebrow products have "exploded", especially Anastasia Beverly Hills, whose more affordable but still high-quality versions are also produced by NYX and Maybelline. Mainstream success was achieved by Maisie Williams, Cara Delevingne and other actresses who were no longer forced to change their natural eyebrows - on the contrary, they all tried to "grow" their own.

Serums to promote the growth of eyebrows and eyelashes began to be sold in large quantities. In other words, by changing the trend, people's purchasing behaviour will also change, completely different products will come to the fore, and brands or faces that have enjoyed fame and success until now will have to adapt to the new market.

However, people are already bored with thick eyebrows, famous makeup artist Erin Parsons told Diet Prada. "The perfect Instagram brow has been around for over a decade. If we erase something as defining as the eyebrows, we create a blank canvas." Many celebrities then continue to work creatively with this canvas, such as Doja Cat. She has already experimented with clean-shaven eyebrows, and she also likes to draw motifs on her skin that look "unnatural". In the live broadcast, she even shaved her head in the summer, but even without the traditional "beauty crown" she looks fantastic. Her creativity simply takes precedence over conventional beauty standards, and more and more people are adopting this attitude.

According to Parsons, they often use make-up to creatively express their personality. “People are using makeup to create a new aesthetic that they can stand out with.” Brow work is no longer about what to do to look your best. The point is to look original and be yourself. The result can be an alien-looking visage, to which Doja Cat would probably say "so what?".

Maisie Williams showed off her blonde eyebrows during Paris Fashion Week at the Givenchy show. At the same show, Gigi Hadid also posed on the catwalk with lightened eyebrows. In Paris at the Balenciaga show, we could see Bella Hadid with the new trend, and Lizzo and Julia Fox also showed off their playful eyebrows in recent months.
