Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Finally Got Married After 20 Years. The Singer Took Her Husband's Name.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially married. A source close to the latina singer has confirmed this for CNN. It was a ceremony for a small circle which took place on Saturday in Las Vegas. The marriage was also confirmed by the singer in her Sunday newsletter which was, for the first time, signed using her new name: Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck. 

In an old dress and with great love

According to the singer's email, they git married in Las Vegas and it was not at all a celebrity wedding. They waited in line for their certificate with four other couples. "We hardly made it to the wedding chapel before midnight. They generously stayed open for a few minutes after closing time and let us take pictured in a pink cadillac. Allegedly, the king himself used it once, but if we wanted Elvis to come we would have to pay extra and he was already in bed," wrote the singer, now Mrs. Affleck, according to CNN. 

They wrote their own vows and wore old clothes - Jennifer wore a dress from an old movie and Affleck pulled out a suit from his old closet. The celebrity duo first met in 2001 when they were making the romantic comedy Gimli. They took their relationship off screen and announced their engagement in 2002. They were supposed to get married approximately a year later but moved it due to increased interest of the media.

They canceled their engagement in 2004 and found their way back to each other almost 20 years, multiple children and marriages with other people later. They got engaged again in April 2022.
