A new viral trend hit the internet in the form of an open artificial intelligence app DALL-E mini. The internet app allows the creation of various pictures by converting text into visual form. People request bizarre tasks and are subsequently amused by the creations.

In the last few days, social media were overloaded with pictured created through the application DALL-E. The popularity of the app is still growing. Although DALL-E mini can create beautiful pictures which often resemble real art, it continues to work based on mathematics and algorithms without any aesthetic purpose.

The application using artificial intelligence browses the entire internet and countless amount of pictures which best fit the respective request and then identifies patterns which are present in all of them. This includes shapes, colors and descriptions. From these, it then learns by itself how to create a picture which best fits the description.

The creators of the app warn that data used by the app and from which it learns are not yet filtered and therefore the resulting images may be stereotypical or contributing to social inequality of minorities and marginalized groups. Creators also added that they are working on this bias.
