Netflix began the casting for a new reality tv show based on the successful series Squid Game. The winner, as in the show, will be only one. They will take home over $ 4.5 million.
456 contestants (the same number as in the show) will be from all around the world, says BBC. If you are interested in participating in a new reality show, you must be over 21 years old, speak English and be available for at least four weeks during taping, which will take place in 2023.
In ten episodes of the reality show Squid Game: The Challenge, according to Netflix, the contestants will fight for the highest prize in the history of television entertainment. "In the challenges inspired by the series, their strategies, partnerships and characters will be tested, while the contestants will fail and leave the show all around them."
This week Netflix also confirmed the second season of Squid Game. The director is, as in the case of the first series, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, and in new episodes we will meet with the main character Gi-Hun as well as the masked villain Front Man.
The first season of Squid Game was seen by a record 111 million people worldwide during the first month. Restoring enthusiasm around a successful project can be a reaction of the streaming service to a worrying outflow of users. Only this year Netflix has lost $ 50 billion on the stock exchange.
