Amber Heard reportedly wanted to donate $ 7 million. The reason she still did not do so is allegedly the lawsuit Johnny Depp filed against her.

In 2016, Amber Heard decided to donate to charity the $ 7 million she received after her divorce from Johnny Depp. She said she would split the money between two organisations, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Los Angeles Children's Hospital, says Yahoo! news.
Amber originally claimed she handed over the full amount in 2018, but the head of the American Civil Liberties Union confirmed that the union never received all the promised money. He also said that about half of that money did not come under her name, but the sender was Elon Musk, whom Amber dated after breaking up with Depp.
Amber Heard claims she did not pay the full amount because her ex-husband sued her for $ 50 million. "I still want to donate that money," Amber says, "he just has to stop suing me so I finally can."
Terence Dougherty, ACLU's general adviser and chief operating officer, also spoke out in April, revealing the value of Amber's contributions. There were 1.3 million donation from her, 100,000 from her ex-husband, and $ 500,000 from Elon Musk.
