Get ready for the busiest two gaming months, maybe even in the entire history of video games. February and March 2022 are full of exciting titles coming up, from which we could easily highlight a dozen or two.

1. Dying Light 2: Stay Human (PS4, PS5, Xbox One/Series X/S, PC) – February 4th

After many years of development, the sequel to the successful zombie game arrives as an ambitious action title with RPG elements. Your decisions in the post-apocalyptic world will influence the development of the story and the appearance of the whole city. If you ally with one group of people, the other can die out, and zombies will control their turf.

The gameplay will continue to be based on the parkour movement of the main character, who's running away from a bunch of zombies and mutated monsters. The player can still fight them during the day, but they gain strength and multiply at night. Graceful moves are necessary to escape them.

Dying Light 2 offers a rich story, plenty of side and main quests, and hours of fun. If you liked the first one, it's an absolute no-brainer, and if you haven't visited this world yet, it's time to change that.

2. Sifu (PS5, PS4, PC) – February 3rd

The creators of Absolver have embarked on a more ambitious approach to fights. In Sifu, you get to control a martial arts master in order to get to the big mob boss. The journey is long and difficult, so you inevitably will die several times. Whenever that happens, you start from the last checkpoint, but there's one catch. Your character will age by several years after each death.

It does not affect its abilities, but it changes its appearance. If the player dies many times, the game ends, and you have to start all over. The original game theme is linked to beautiful action scenes. As a Sifu, you master the martial arts and break bones of one opponent after another.

3. CrossfireX (Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One) – February 10th

CrossfireX is a first-person shooter game (FPS) from the works of Remedy (Control, Alan Wake). According to previous trailers, it looks fabulous and will also please multiplayer fans, created by another studio in the game - Smilegate. So far, it seems like players will experience exciting action full of adrenaline.

4. Horizon Forbidden West (PS4, PS5) – February 18th

The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn aims to overcome the first part in every way possible. The story begins several months after the end of the first part. The main character Aloy goes West, where the country is plagued by a red plague that puts humanity at threat. It's up to Aloy to save the planet and uncover the past secrets, machines, and new tribes while destroying dinosaur-like robots.

The second part presents several new robots, enemy clans, a sophisticated combat system, new animations, and a wonderful environment. Also, some innovations such as underwater swimming, a reel hook, or an energy shield, which enables you to sail through the air. Horizon 2 is undoubtedly the adept for the game of the year.

5. Elden Ring (PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X) – February 25th

We wrote about Elden Ring whenever we got a chance to. Games from the From Software studio (Bloodborne, Sekiro, Dark Souls) are always a game-changer, and it won't be different in this case either. Elden Ring changes the style of play from these creators and looks incredible. The Elden Ring keeps the world open instead of corridors or larger enclosed areas.

It's up to you which enemies and bosses you'll challenge first. Just expect them to kill you right away. This one will be extremely tough like their previous action RPGs, so it might not be the best choice for players who aren't up for a good challenge.

The magnificent fantasy world of Elden Ring was also assisted by George R. R. Martin, creator of the Game of Thrones book.

6. Far: Changing Tides (PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S a Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC) – March 1st

The sequel to the excellent independent game Far: Lone Sails completely flips the environment, the main character, and the transport style. While in the first one, you moved around on a wagon with wheels, in the sequel, you will be primarily on a ship.

In Far, you control a giant colossus that travels the ruined country in a post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and you use everything you find along the way as fuel for the machine in order to reach your destination. Far has a great atmosphere, excellent soundtrack, and you can get through it in one sitting (the first one takes more than 4 hours).

The game is in 2D view, so you only move right, left, down, and up, but with more puzzles and logical solutions that will move you further in the story. Far: Changing Tides will also be released on the Xbox Game Pass.

7. Gran Turismo 7 (PS4, PS5) – March 4th

There's something about the Gran Turismo series. Regardless of how good the other racing games are. As soon as you turn on Gran Turismo, you get a nostalgic, unique feeling and a great racing experience.

GT 7 is a combination of the best parts of Gran Turismo with a fruitful career and tournaments and a multiplayer element from the previous game Gran Turismo Sport. Thus, several hours of content and top online tournaments are guaranteed, whether amateur or professional. The game looks fantastic in motion, and we are mainly curious how the cars will be controlled on the Dualsense driver on the PS5.

It should support adaptive triggers and different vibrations when passing the tire over various surfaces. We discussed the revolutionary features, and every PS5 owner knows that the console is worth buying. Gran Turismo is back. See you on the circuit.

8. Triangle Strategy (Switch) – March 4th

Let's not forget about Nintendo Switch console owners. One of the expected exclusive releases is a turn-based RPG from the creators of the successful game Octopath Traveler. Triangle Strategy will work similarly, though with a brand new story, fantasy world, and improved game mechanics, such as animations or duels.

9. Stranger Of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin (PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC) – March 18th

The revelation of this game has already been accompanied by controversy. Stranger of Paradise looks bizarre at times. It has unintentionally funny and sometimes awkward dialogues, and the overall presentation of the story doesn't create many positive impressions. But maybe that's the intention, and Team Ninja (the creators of the Nioh series) want to parody Japanese RPGs. Let's see about that.

In any case, the gameplay is excellent, and we have already understood from various demos that the game will be fun.

10. Kirby and the Forgotten Land (Nintendo Switch) – March 25th

The Nintendo legend named Kirby is finally getting into 3D space. The Kirby series has been in 2D until now. With Kirby and his unique abilities that allow him to turn into other enemies, we'll uncover the secrets of a forgotten island full of monsters, dangerous traps, and enemies. Judging by the trailer, we feel like watching Super Mario Odyssey at times, which is only good, as it was a fantastic "jumping game".

Bonus: Weird West (PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC) – March 31st

A mix of RPG, action, and the so-called immersive sim genre (Bioshock, Prey - your actions have an impact on the world around you) from the birdview perspective. You will fight enemies, rob people, dig their graves, set fire to plantations, or work with a rich inventory of items you can find, steal or buy. The story will alternate five main characters with special supernormal abilities to improve in the tree of abilities and skills.

Weird West will take you about 40 hours, so you really don't have to worry about the lack of fun content. After viewing the trailer below, we think the title has a great chance of becoming the best western game of the year. This is not a surprise, as it comes from Wolfey's studio, which is made up of Arkane studio veterans (Dishonored, Prey).

We included the title in the bonus because it was postponed from January to March. Like Far: Changing Tides, Weird West will be released on Xbox's Game Pass.

Other games will be released in February, such as The King of Fighters XV, OlliOlli World, Martha Is Dead and Grid Legends.

In March, we'll get the sequel to the successful RPG Elex 2, RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, action Babylon's Fall from the renowned Platinum Games studio, racing game Chocobo GP from the world of Final Fantasy, wrestling in the form of WWE 2K22, and also this cute fox that kills enemies in the action game Tunic.

There is also another game from the world of Borderlands called Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, and you can also look forward to Rune Factory 5. And finally: on March 1st, Shadow Warrior 3 is released. It's a crazy game with a great sense of humor that includes jokes on the clichés of game design ideas.

Update: On March 25th, 2022, the anticipated action-adventure Ghostwire: Tokyo from Tango Gameworks (Evil Within) is also being released. It will come out on PC and PS5.
