Ex-president of the United States, George W. Bush made a mistake during his speech in Dallas, when he labeled the Invasion of Iraq as brutal and unjustified, instead of the invasion of Ukraine. The invasion of Iraq was ordered by his administration in 2003 due to suspicion of holding of weapons of mass destruction, which however, were never found. It ended in 2011.

The ex-president accidentally labeled the invasion of Iraq "brutal and unjustified." He immediately corrected himself and made it clear that he meant the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Bush blamed the mistake on his high age.

The 75-year-old ex-president of the USA criticized the Russian political system. "Russian elections are manipulated. Political opponents are imprisoned or otherwise expelled from participation in the political process. The result of this is the absence of brakes and counterbalance and the decision of one man to begin a completely unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq," said Bush before correcting his mistake and shaking his head. He immediately added: "I mean the invasion of Ukraine."

During his speech, the ex-director of the White House compared the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyj to the British ex-prime minister Winston Churchill. In contrast, he harshly criticized the Russian president.
