The Ukrainian Kalush Orchestra became the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
In the thrilling finals, the Ukrainians with the emotional song Stefania faced the Briton Sam Ryder with the song Space Man. Ukrainians were pushed to the first place mainly by voices from the public, thanks to which many call the Ukrainian victory a symbolic message on the war.

The finals of the Eurovision Song Contest took place this year in Turin, Italy. Song Stefania was written by the frontman of the Kalush Orchestra as a song celebrating his own mother, but in Ukraine, Stefania has meanwhile become a symbol of the struggle for homeland in the war with Russia.
According to many commentators on social media platforms, the song resembles an anthem, so it is no wonder it appealed to Ukrainians it these difficult times.
