Elon Musk: When I Own Twitter, I'll Restore Donald Trump's Blocked Account

American businessman Elon Musk would renew the blocked account of former President Donald Trump if the agreement on the purchase of Twitter goes through successfully. He said this at a conference on the Financial Times Future of the Car on Tuesday. CNN informed.

"I think banning Donald Trump's account was a mistake," the 50-year-old billionaire told the conference. Musk has said in the past that the social network should be more careful when permanently closing accounts.

Musk reminded that he doesn't own Twitter yet, so "this is not something that will definitely happen". SpaceX founder and co-owner of Tesla plans to buy Twitter for $ 44 billion. The agreement is yet to be supported by shareholders and regulators.

Trump's account with 89 million Twitter followers was blocked in January this year for violating the platform's rules and inciting violence.
