Will Smith's problems will not stop him from making another part of Bad Boys.
The CEO of Hollywood studio Sony Pictures Tom Rothman confirmed that the movie Bad Boys 4 is still planned. They are actively working on it in the studio. Not even the Oscars incident when Will Smith slapped the anchorman Chris Rock has changed that.
Hollywood studios allegedly subsequently stopped working on Will Smith's projects but Rothman claims that no such thing has happened in the case of Bad Boys 4.
Rothman, according to his own words, has known Will Smith for many years and knows he is a good person whom the world has caught in a very bad moment. He believes Smith's apology was sincere and he does not see a reason to cease working with him.
We currently do not know when the film will get to the theatres. It will probably not be earlier than in 2024. The screenplay will be written by Chris Brenner who also wrote Part 3. The studio has not picked a director yet.
