Keanu Reeves can imagine that he would appear in the role of the legendary Batman in a few years, reports Coming Soon.

The actor is currently promoting the new DC film League of Super-Pets, a superhero animated feature from the DC Comics studio, but according to his own words, he would wish for a much bigger role than just lending his voice to the animated hero named Caped Crusader.

“It's always been... it's always been my dream. Now Pattinson has Batman and he's doing great," stated Reeves in an interview with journalists. "Maybe one day, in a few years. Maybe when they need an older Batman one day," said the actor.

Keanu Reeves is currently 57 years old, while Robert Pattinson celebrated his 36th birthday this year. DC Comics has yet to announce plans for a new series of films with an older Batman that Reeves could play, so the actor's wishes will likely go unheeded for the next few years.

He said in the interview that he has no need to undermine Robert Pattinson's performances, nor is he in any way trying to land the role of Batman at this time, but he sent a public message to DC Comics to count on him, if such casting call arises in the future.

Robert Pattinson appeared in the latest film The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, and enjoyed great popularity not only among critics, but also among viewers.

Regarding the movie DC League of Super-Pets, the actor stated that he was happy just because of the company he found himself in. “Just being a part of a project that has Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in it is amazing. And I got to play Batman," he smiled, because the character of the animated Caped Crusader represents Batman.
