VIDEO: President Zelensky Shared A Picture Of A Russian Rocket Hitting A Shopping Center In Kremenchuk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky published footage of a bombed-out shopping centre where civilians were located, on his social media.

Zelensky called on the UN on Tuesday to visit the site of a rocket attack on a shopping center in the Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk.

He appealed from Kiev during a video speech before the UN Security Council, the AFP news agency reported. Zelensky, dressed them in a typical olive-green T-shirt, calling on members of the Security Council, including Russia, to take minute of silence in memory of the people killed so far in the war in Ukraine.

"I suggest that the United Nations send a Special Representative or Secretary-General ... to find out the information independently and see for themselves that this was indeed a Russian missile attack," Zelensky said about Monday's attack, which killed at least 18 people in Kremenchuk. Dozens of people have been injured and many more are still missing, authorities said.

He also asked the UN to legally define the term terrorist state. According to him, the invasion of Moscow in his country, which began on February 24, shows the urgent need to capture it at the UN level and punish any terrorist state. Zelensky spoke at an extraordinary meeting of the Security Council, convened after Monday's rocket attack, which sparked a large fire inside a crowded shopping center in Kremenchuk.

The Russian army said on Tuesday that it had hit a nearby weapons depot, and it was its explosion that caused a fire in the shopping center, which, according to Moscow, no longer served the public at the time.

However, residents rejected this claim and told AFP that they did not know of any weapons stored in the mentioned area.
